We’re pleased to share the National Housing Day 2025 Report, capturing key insights, themes, and calls to action from communities across the country.
National Housing Day 2025 brought together housing advocates, service providers, policymakers, and community members to reflect on the state of housing in Canada and the urgent need for coordinated, long-term solutions. Conversations emphasized the growing gap between housing need and housing supply, the importance of non-market and supportive housing, and the role of governments at all levels in delivering housing as essential social infrastructure.
The report synthesizes participant perspectives, emerging policy priorities, and community-driven recommendations aimed at strengthening affordability, preventing homelessness, and improving housing outcomes for people most impacted by the housing crisis.

In January 2026, we will share this report back to the community through an action call that will ask for volunteers to join us! Please reach out to office@cdhalton.ca if you have any questions!
