About the event

This interactive CivicLabs by CDH workshop presents the findings from the Thriving Together in Halton: Community Story Project, a region-wide initiative led by Community Development Halton to better understand how residents are navigating life in today’s economy. Drawing from rich, anonymous, conversation‑style interviews with diverse community members. The workshop highlights the voices, hopes, and strengths of people living across Halton.

Participants will explore what helps residents feel supported, connected, and able to thrive, as well as the community conditions and possibilities that participants envision for a strong and equitable future. Rather than centering on deficits, this workshop focuses on assets, aspirations, and opportunities for collective action.

What Participants Will Learn

  • Key themes that emerged from the community interviews

  • What residents say matters most to them right now

  • Sources of hope and resilience expressed by participants
