About the event
The story of NEET youth in Halton is complex but clear. Since 2016, the number of youths disconnected from work, school, and training has grown sharply since 2016. Data shows that the risks associated with being disconnected rise steeply with age, and impact youth differently based on their gender and racial identity. The impacts of disconnection are unevenly distributed across Halton's communities, too.
Local organizations and community groups have been stepping up to address these challenges, but face significant structural and resource-related barriers of their own. Join us in a conversation about NEET youth and actions we might take as a community to support one another and connect our young people with employment, education, and training!
