About the event
Community Data Watch Friday is a one hour on-line gathering. We share information from our most current Community Data Watch publication and spend time talking about how we can individually and collectively use the information for planning, funding and advocacy.
Home energy poverty—when households spend a disproportionate share of their income on home energy needs such as electricity, natural gas, and other fuels—affects the health, comfort, and financial security of residents. In Canada, a common threshold for home energy poverty is when households spend 6% or more of their after-tax income on energy costs. On June 20th tune to learn about how just over 10.6% of households in Halton were considered home energy poor, the implications and action that can be taken.
