Board succession planning is a critical task designed to ensure the health of the Board and its ability to govern and provide leadership to the organization it serves. A well-developed board succession plan enables the nonprofit's team to minimize negative impacts caused by departures, which helps maintain a consistent workflow during transitions.
Fee: $25 for CDH Members | $75 for non-members
Presenter: Heather Johnson, CVA, Director, Volunteer Halton
Heather Johnson has worked in the nonprofit sector since 2003. As Director of Volunteer Halton, she supports nonprofits, charities, and grassroots groups build their capacity by delivering robust educational programs, advocates for volunteerism, and assists community members in exploring meaningful ways to get involved throughout Halton Region. A volunteer herself, Heather currently serves as the Past President of the Professional Association of Volunteer Leaders-Ontario (PAVRO); she also serves through her local church.
