Many people in our community could not, and cannot, afford to adequately prepare for how COVID-19 is affecting their family. Many do not have support, should they need to self-isolate. Those who already face barriers—things like poverty, homelessness, and social isolation—need even more help during this time. These needs will continue to evolve. You can help! Volunteer Halton is developing a roster of concerned citizens who are wanting to help and connecting them to organizations needing it!

It is important to remember to follow all the health guidelines when volunteering, such as physical distancing, washing hands and if you feel unwell, please advise the coordinator of volunteers. When we all do our part we will ensure that people have the basic needs to keep them safe and healthy.
